| | | | ERISA, a 27 ft cruising sailboat 1971 Van de Stadt.
CONDITION : Good
sailing condition solidly constructed.
The top is of solid fiberglass.
It has a 2400-lb keel with much of its weight in a bulb at the bottom.
The bulb provides a tremendous lever to reduce tipping in heavy seas.
Woodwork outside is well-varnished teak.
Inside woodwork is mahogany
veneer.
The bottom is painted with V17.
SAILS: ERISA has a new
mainsail purchased several years ago , a set of 4 jibs, and a
spinnaker. (which is a lot of fun) ENGINE: Needs work, ask seller for
more info.
Could install an outboard motor inexpensively.(
One-cylinder 7.5 hp diesel made by SABB in Norway.
Capable of pushing
boat at 5 to 6 knots, rebuilt with all new internal parts in 1993.
The
20-gal tank of fuel usually lasts all summer.
The propellor is a
variable-pitch type controlled by a lever in the cockpit.) OTHER
EQUIPMENT: Two batteries with a selector switch, 2 Danforth anchors,
Speed meter, Marine
compass, Lights mounted above deck on the spreaders, Marine radio
with antenna, Mast grounded to the keel, Plastic swimming ladder.
CRUISING ESSENTIALS: Equipment is cleverly located in the cabin for
cruising to other ports.
Galley with propane stove, an icebox, and a
sink supplied with water from a storage tank by an electric pump.
Head
(toilet) has an enclosed waste tank that you empty periodically at
city-maintained pump-out stations.
The head also has a washbasin with
water supplied from the tank by a foot pump.
Three bunks in the cabin
and two more in a V-berth in the bow.
The V-berth can be closed off by
a folding door.
Two storage compartments in the cockpit to store
anchors, ropes and equipment.
Small clothes-hanging closet, 6
life-jackets, several fenders, dock lines, and jib sheets.
Wooden
cradle for winter storage.
