Engine room is fireproof painted in addition and has a CO2 smothering system.
It has 2 new re-built Detroit diesel V-653 engines, tx's, shafts and cutlass bearings.
Also has a 8 hp bow thruster.
The vessel needs a generator and air-conditioner.
It comes with F/G 4 person dingy(Quick-silver) with inflatable collars(unsinkable) with 10hp Mercury(25-30mph).
It has a walk-around deck main deck with a large open cushioned seating foredeck for socializing.
Forward windows are 3/8" Lexan, just installed.
Easy escapement mechanical steering for reliability.
Full galley, sits 6 comfortably, 2 washrooms - shower/sitting tub-3 sleeping cabins, skylight over main salon flybridge can sit 10 people.
The vessel was constructed at a Yokohama Shipyard, Japan 1960 and built to North American Standards.
It was thoroughly upgraded in 1996 with a bow thruster installed and in 1999-2000 the new re-built Detroit Diesels were installed.
They have very low hours of only 300 hrs each of a 7000 hr life-cycle.
Gas engined boats in comparison; the gas engines are good for only approximately 1000 hrs and any gas engine puts out 4x the amount of CO and CO2 for the same Hp.
Therefore diesels are the best and safest from a safety point of view.
In addition as mentioned before, new re-built Tx's were installed in 2003 with brand new propeller shafts and cutlass bearings.
This boat handles better than any other comparable power boat or even smaller , with only 2 controllers for combined TX and engine RPM & bow thruster, you don't have to worry as much about where each setting is.
Separate eng RPM ctl's and Tx ctl's on other boats is for some people complicated and has it's inherent risks as settings are sometimes forgotten.
With it's mechanical steering you don't have to worry aboat busting a hydraulic hose.
Ian Morris(Frasers -subsidiary of Algoma Shipping) - Port Colborne, installed the shafts & new transmissions) and knows the boat well.
Will assist in deliver if needed.
