Boat Owners Commentary.
This 1981 Hunter 30 is a sharp looking boat with the Hunter quality.
Sea Lean is a Molded Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) sloop with aft “T” cockpit.
The cockpit has a pedestal and a fold down PVC table.
Wood cored decks.
The top side was completely refurbished in Mar 2011 with newly non-skid and deck paint from the slotted aluminum toe rail up.
As part of the refurbishment a new Harken 4:1 purchase traveler system was installed.
A new custom made full batten mainsail was installed in 2009 along with a new sail cover.
A new dodger with a stationary frame and side grab rails was installed in 2010.
The Bimini top was also removed and refurbished (new zippers, reinforcements, sail window, and seams reinforced) also in 2009.
The HELM has a wide bench seat running the full width of the vessel.
There is additional cockpit seating on both the port and starboard sides.
An over sized stainless steel wheel with a new ST4000+ auto helm by Ray Marine.
The Autohelm control head is within easy reach on the port side adjacent to the new Ray Marine depth sounder control head connected to the Autohelm computer via SeaTalk.
The remote VHF control rounds out the complement of port mounted electronic equipment.
There is a 6" Garmin GPS/Chartplotter mounted above the lighted Ritchie navigational compass.
Forward on the cabin bulkhead there is a Nav3100 wind speed/direction instrument.
Down the steps, enter the CABIN through the newly refinished hatch boards and door frame.
The interior arrangement is a forepeak locker followed by a bow cabin with a vee berth and two newly refurbished (powder coat, glass, and gaskets) 19” escape hatches; one mid cabin and one above the forward v-berth.
The salon has an “L” shaped settee berth, Navigation station and quarter berth to port.
A settee berth, and galley are to starboard.
Head with a shower is to the port side.
Closet to starboard.
Soles are teak over veneer.
Cabinet, bulkheads and trim are teak.
The Electrical Panel is conveniently located on the port side just above the Navigation station.
You will notice right away the is no AC power source.
Everything on board runs on 12v power.
With a 3 battery system (1engine start and 2 house) the batteries are charged and maintained by a solar panel mounted on a metal frame above the aft cockpit seats.
New batteries in 2011.
The 13 HP Yanmar diesel power plant provides enough power to move the boat at approximately 6 knots.
There is a 12 gallon fuel tank.
The Galley has a counter, storage drawers, two burner alcohol stove, sink, and refrigerator/icebox.
The stand-up head has a counter, sink, shower, and a Vacu-Flush toilet with a Macerator, power exhaust, cabinet and a medicine cabinet.
The Forward BERTH sleeps two.
MAINTENANCE – This boat is in great shape and has had regular maintenance and repairs performed as needed.
The oil has been changed every year (even with less than 10 hours used on the engines).
The bottom paint was done in 2009 and running rigging is cleaned monthly by a diver.
In the last year, cooling water hoses, impeller, oil, and fuel filters were replaced.
