Description: One of the easiest trailerables due to the water
ballast system, the Hunter 23.5 has 95 of the interior room of the
MacGregor 26, yet has a much larger cockpit.
Double aft berth, higher
level of interior finish, this 23.5 has had 2 owners and is still in
very nice condition.
She is well maintained, easy to sail, comfortable
and trailerable day sailor with overnight or up to long weekend
accommodations.
She includes:
A swing centerboard and swing rudder, with a water ballast system allowing her to float in 18 inches of water.
Her water ballast also sheds 1,000 lbs of weight for quick and
easy towing and hauling, and she doesn’t require a huge vehicle to tow
her.
Hunter’s mast raising system makes launching and retrieval easy
singlehanded or for a couple.
The mast raising system helps make the
transition from the highway to the waterway in about 30 minutes.
She has a very large cockpit for 6, and with all lines led aft to the
cockpit, sailing and singlehanding is a breeze.
Below she sleeps 5 in two double berths, and one single settee, a double vee berth forward, and another full width double berth aft.
A hatch opens above the vee berth.
Her galley is aft to port, and has a hand pump sink and one
burner alcohol stove with a flip up counter for extra prep area.
She
has a swiveling dinette table that easily moves from the cabin to the
cockpit.
Porta Potty is located forward.
She has a tinted plexiglass
hatch cover adding light below when closed, that slides into her
pop-top companion way cover for added headroom below.
The interior
fiberglass liner is easy to clean and maintain.
Her interior vinyl
covered foam cushions are also easy to maintain.
She is a tremendous
amount of boat for the money, and goes anywhere the big boys go, and,
places they can’t go.
